60 passengers escape from accident

Banaganapalli : Sixty passengers had an escape when a bus overturned while crossing a bridge built on Paleru Lake at Sanjamala village.
The bus boarded with 60 passengers was heading towards Tadipathri from Kovelakuntla. The bus should cross a bridge built on Paleru Lake at Sanjamala village.
But, when the bus reached the lake it was in full spate due to rain water. However, the bus driver without properly estimating the danger, ventured to cross the bridge. When the bus reached the middle ofbridge, it began to overturn due to heavy currents. The driver unable to control the steering lost control and eventually the bus overturned,police rushed near the incident.
The passengers broke the window panes and tried to come out of the bus, said the Depot Manager.However, with the timely help of police and locals, all the passengers were rescued except with minor injuries to two or three passengers. The passengers blamed the RTC officials for allowing the bus on the route despite knowing the hidden danger.
