Chandrababu is the only CM who demanded PM for Kerala floods

While the Kerala floods devastated the state and incurred a whopping Rs 20,000 Crore-plus (as per the assessment of ASSOCHAM and Kerala government) damage, the one and only Chief Minister (other than Kerala CM) who has demanded the Centre to consider it as National Disaster and provide special financial assistance to Kerala in this tested times is nonetheless AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.


Apart from donating Rs 10 Crore fund to Kerala CM Relief Fund, Naidu has also sent Rs 6 Crore worth rice bags to the flood-hit state as immediate measure. Besides this, AP Secretariat employees JAC, pensioners, NGOs together have contributed Rs 24 Crore, Police officials, employees together have donated Rs 7 Crore, MPS, MLAs and MLCs have donated Rs 2.5 Crore. Chandrababu has read the complete financial aid from AP government alone and declared it as Rs 49.5 Crore. And the contribution of the private people and other companies from the state is excluded from this. Reading this huge financial help from AP, Naidu has remained the Centre to do more help to Kerala.


Naidu has also found fault with PM Modi for announcing mere Rs 600 Crore financial aid and dubbed it as 'insufficient'. Chandrababu said Modi hasn't functioned the way he ought to in the issue of Kerala when such a national calamity has struck a state.


He even recalled how Modi and Centre had went back on their word for Vizag when Hudhud cyclone disrupted the city. Naidu recalled that Modi had announced Rs 1000 Crore financial aid to Vizag but the Centre had only disbursed 650 Crore. Chandrababu said Prime Minister and Central Government should come to the rescue of states in such natural calamities in Federal system. He said Modi government failed to do so.
