Singapore Ministers visit Mambattu Industrial Park

Nellore: AP and Singapore industries minister N Amarnath Reddy and S Eswaran visited APIIC industrial park at Mambattu in Tada mandal on Tuesday night. They observed possibilities of any land availability for industries close to Chennai city. AP industries minister N Amarnath Reddy explained to the team led by Eswaran about the infrastructure available in the district like national highway, railway and port connectivity. He said the region is suitable for industries and the government had earmarked 930 acres for the park. 


In response, Eswaran said they were satisfied with water, power and other facilities in the area and would help in Singapore industries setting up units in the park. He also assured that they would provide support to the enthusiastic entrepreneurs. The two ministers planted saplings in the park on the occasion. Further, they participated in a programme in Indus Coffee unit located in the same park.They observed various units of the plant and Amarnath Reddy explained that the coffee unit was started at a cost of Rs 80 crore in 23 acres with about 250 employees. Eswaran also visited SHAR centre along with Amarnath Reddy and interacted with the scientists there. He praised efficiency of scientists and their successes in launchings. District collector R Mutyala Raju, Naidupet RDO Seena Naik, APIIC Nellore zonal manager Venkateswara Rao and others were present.
